As a common good of knowledge, the free encyclopaedia\nis now recognized as an object of research of international level, through\nseveral colloquiums and numerous publications dedicated to it, as well as to\nother related projects such as Wikimedia Commons, Wikidata, Wikibooks , etc &#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More broadly, wikis are commonly used in learning\ncontext or in collaborative projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a previous conference, in 2015, focusing on\nWikipedia as an object of scientific research (whose results are presented in\nthe publication <em>Wikip\u00e9dia, objet\nscientifique non identifi\u00e9<\/em>), this new call for papers considers Wikipedia\nas a tool for mediation and knowledge transfer and opens up a broader\nperspective on wikis and collaborative learning environments. Although many\nempirical experiments have been conducted in this field, an organic reflection\non the inclusion of Wikipedia, or of wikis in general, in pedagogical\napproaches or construction of knowledge is still absent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three areas of research are envisaged:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Construction and transmission of knowledge<\/strong><ul><li>Dynamics of co-construction of\n      a digital common<\/li><li>New forms of collaboration and\n      participation<\/li><li>Controversies around the role\n      of Wikipedia, what place for Wikipedia in the construction of scientific\n      knowledge?<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Mediation and representation of knowledge<\/strong><strong><\/strong><ul><li>Socio-linguistic and\n      socio-cultural factors <\/li><li>Representations, reception and\n      reuse of the contents of Wikipedia <\/li><li>Uses in a learning environment\n      (documentation centres, libraries)<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Educational innovation tool<\/strong><ul><li>Wikipedia as a medium of\n      transmission of knowledge<\/li><li>Uses of Wikipedia as a\n      learning tool<\/li><li>Theoretical approaches to\n      pedagogy in a collaborative environment<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This call for papers is part of an interdisciplinary research,\nthe proposals can come from researchers and teachers who work in the field of\nhuman and social sciences (and in particular information and communication\nsciences), but also from hard sciences scholars interested in issues related to\nmediation and transmission of knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The call is open to <strong>theoretical approaches<\/strong> that can enrich the understanding of\nWikipedia as well as to <strong>case studies<\/strong>\nand works in progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a final outcome, the publication of a volume is\nenvisaged within the Nanterre university presses following and completing the\nprevious volume of 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Terms of submission and\nparticipation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Calendar<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deadline for submission of proposals: March 30, 2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Date of notification of acceptance: 30 April 2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Format<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Communication proposals can concern ongoing works,\ntheoretical reflections or comparative analyses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They must be in two pages maximum and include a brief\npresentation of the context, of the study object, of the methodology and a\nbibliography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The author can insert a brief biography about him in\nthe body of the email, with the proposal as an attachment, in .doc or .pdf\nformat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>French and English are accepted.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The presentations during the day will not exceed 20\nminutes, in order to leave a large part of the time for exchanges between\nparticipants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Proposals should be sent to <a href=\"mailto:lionel.barbe@parisnanterre.fr\">lionel.barbe@parisnanterre.fr<\/a> \u00a0and <a href=\"mailto:msevero@parisnanterre.fr\">msevero@parisnanterre.fr<\/a> \u00a0by 30 March 2019 at midnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Future perspectives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the <strong>ANR\nCollabora<\/strong> project and in partnership with Nanterre university presses, the\npublication of a collective work is planned for the beginning of 2020.
